Event Outline

The seminar will discuss recent legal developments in the tort of defamation in Singapore. It covers issues relating to defamatory meaning, the meaning and scope of “publication” in the Internet age, the defences such as fair comment and qualified privilege as well as corporate defamation. Where relevant, it will also examine comparative case precedents from England and common law jurisdictions.
