Event Outline

The lecture will address recent reforms to Singapore law that enhance the attractiveness of Singapore as an international debt restructuring centre including the adoption of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency. It puts these reforms in their international and comparative context with reference to the scheme of arrangement procedure in the UK, Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code and projected reforms to business restructuring law in the European Union.
