This event is organised by Singapore Trustees Association (STA). During the past 5 years, the trust industry has been besieged with many developments: Panama papers and beneficial ownership registers, increased focus on tax evasion and anti-money laundering legislation and increased transparency in the form of FATCA and CRS. It is now timely for us to revisit the age-old comparison between the two cities, to take stock of where we stand and to offer some views on the future of the industry in Asia.
