Event Outline

The seminar explores the legal implications of ubiquitous computing and artificial intelligence and, while abstaining from unnecessary futurism, presents a realistic picture of their commercial relevance. Particular attention is devoted to the recurring questions whether “intelligent systems” require (or deserve?) their own personhood and whether existing legal regimes are capable of accommodating technological change.
