Event Outline

The lecture will try to highlight the roles of competition laws in dealing with the problems of patent misuse and/or abuse as the traditional treatment by IP laws has faced with serious limits to address the serious and complicated issues to enhance innovation and consumer welfare. Focus will be placed on major cases including private disputes like Samsung v. Apple, and public prosecutions including the Samsung case in EU and Qualcomm cases in EU, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and US.
