This event is organized by Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP). In Public Prosecutor v Pua Om Tee, the High Court found that previous sentencing decisions under Section 62 of the GST Act 1993 lacked a consistent approach in sentencing offenders for fraudulent GST evasion offence. A five-step sentencing framework was subsequently applied.
