Case theory: the first thing that is taught in law school, and one of the most difficult crafts to master. Is crafting a case theory a science? Join us as we explore with a senior counsel what a “good” case theory looks like, and how to arrive at one. We will draw on his experiences to learn how to craft a persuasive narrative that accounts for all of the admissible evidence such that the criminal defence counsel can compel findings favourable to a client.
