This event is organized by Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA). Mr Jeremy Richmond KC of Quadrant Chambers, a leading silk in commercial disputes and insolvency, will lead a discussion about how the recognition of foreign insolvency proceedings in the United Kingdom has been affected by the UK Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 and its recent cases. This includes an examination of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, as enacted in the UK, and the potential differences in its interpretation by the English and Singapore courts.
