This session will introduce the concept of sustainable finance and examine its links to law: the role of law and markets in the evolution of sustainable finance; key actors and policy initiatives; the legal and market context for sustainability, encompassing fiduciary duty as a key factor; and the objectives of regulatory intervention. The approach aims to link with corporate governance, capital markets law and financial regulation to provide a systematic overview of the current position.
