This event is organized by Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA). Stephen Kenny KC discusses the origins of tort of conspiracy, its division into conspiracy to use unlawful means and conspiracy to injure without using unlawful means. He explores the development of the former, its relationship with the tort of causing harm by unlawful means, confusions and inconsistencies between elements of both: highlighting potential developments in local law. He reviews advantages in making a claim of a conspiracy to do harm by unlawful means; issues of pleading and proof.
