Event Outline

In my book, Resistance & Change in the International Law on Foreign Investment, I proposed that the law is made by power but changes when resistance sets in. I now argue that this theory applies to other areas of international law: the use of force, liability of multinational corporations, extraterritorial jurisdiction & climate change. Studies show that a general theory of change in international law resulting from the articulation of rules by hegemonic powers & resistance to them has validity.
