Event Outline

Existing attempts at regulating the use of artificial intelligence tools in international arbitration, such as the EU AI Act (recently entered into force) have the potential to apply to proceedings where the seat of arbitration is located, and parties or arbitrators are established, outside the EU. This lecture discusses the need and desirability to regulate and the form which such regulation should take. Important considerations include procedural fairness, transparency, and data protection.
