Event Outline

This event is organised by Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC). The lecture seeks to reflect on the evolving landscape of international dispute settlement against the backdrop of a changing global legal order marked by geopolitical fragmentation and renewed emphasis on unilateralism. It will examine how disputes before the ICJ are becoming increasingly multilateral in character, and the effect of this on States. J.Donoghue will also discuss other key trends shaping inter-State and investor-State dispute settlement, procedural innovations, and the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as mediation.
