This event is organised by NUS-CIL . The discussion will focus on key themes, including the blurring of traditional legal categories, particularly between peaceful and non-peaceful uses of outer space under instruments such as the Outer Space Treaty. It will also examine how international humanitarian law applies in space, including targeting, proportionality, and the protection of civilian space infrastructure supporting military functions, as well as the growing role of commercial actors.
