In 2017, Professor Gaillard explored the influence of French legal thinking on international arbitration. A 2019 Paris Arbitration Week conference he organised brought together Judge Dominique Hascher and Justice Quentin Loh to discuss this, with a focus on Singapore. A decade on, this keynote reviews how Singapore’s law and practice have evolved, and how French legal thought and Gaillard’s ideas continue to shape international arbitration.
