This webinar is organised by NUS - Centre for International Law. The webinar will initiate a joint BIMSTEC and UNESCO Chair project towards policy guidelines on the responsible treatment of AI-generated evidence, deepfakes and hallucinated citations in courtrooms across Asian countries. The session will focus on feasible guidance for courts and the legal profession. It will consider verification practices, professional duties, judicial proof, disclosure, technology literacy and the safeguards needed when AI-assisted material is presented before a court.
