This event is organised by National University of Singapore Centre for International Law (NUS-CIL). Building on the 2024 and 2025 partner events, the 2026 CIL–SCW seminar explores how government lawyers and external counsel can champion mediation in Investor-State disputes within their organisations. It addresses common misconceptions, including enforceability, loss of control, and perceived weakness, while presenting mediation as a strategic, credible, outcome-oriented option. Expert panellists will share data and practical advocacy tools for practitioners and government lawyers.
