It introduces the Seven Stages and four phases— Begin, Information Gathering, Problem Solving, Resolution—showing how cases move, stall, and regain momentum. Participants then craft and deliver opening statements, with feedback on trust, tone, and framing. The session ends with a faculty-led fishbowl, where experienced mediators are observed handling a full mediation in real time.
