Public CPD Points
Generally, Public CPD Points are obtained by attending Accredited CPD Activities.

Public CPD Points

a.
|
Attending a conference, lecture, seminar or workshop accredited by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (‘Institute’).
|
1 Public CPD Point per hour (unless otherwise specified for the particular Accredited CPD Activity);
Minimum activity length of 1 hour.
Refer to CALAS for upcoming Accredited CPD Activities and the corresponding number of Public CPD Points for each activity.

b.
|
Teaching in or contributing in various roles in the Preparatory Course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations (‘Part B Course’), as appointed by the Institute.

Subject Coordinator (including Deputy Subject Coordinator) – 8 Public CPD Points for each session of the Part B Course;
Tutor/Facilitator – 2 Public CPD Points per practice session, workshop or class conducted (regardless of the length of the session);
Instructional Designer – 2 Public CPD Points for developing teaching materials for each practice session, workshop or class (regardless of the length of the session);
FMS Mentor – 6 Public CPD Points for each session of the Part B Course;
Lecturer (live lecture) – 1 Public CPD Point for each 0.5 hour that he speaks, excluding breaks for refreshments etc.
External Examiner – 2 Public CPD Points for each session of the examinations.

Teaching in or contributing in various roles in the Part A Bar Course and Examinations (‘Part A Course’), as appointed by the Institute.

Subject coordinator (including deputy subject coordinator) - 8 Public CPD Points for each year.
Tutor/Facilitator – 2 Public CPD Points for each seminar, workshop or class conducted (regardless of the length of the session);
Instructional Designer – 2 Public CPD Points for developing teaching materials for each seminar, workshop or class (regardless of the length of the session);
Lecturer (live lecture) – 1 Public CPD Point for each 0.5 hour of speaking, excluding refreshment breaks;
External Examiner – 2 Public CPD Points for each session of the Part A Exams.

Foreign Practitioner Examinations
|
Chief Examiner – 8 Public CPD Points for each session of the examinations;
Principal Examiner – 8 Public CPD Points for each session of the examinations.
